In Shannon Cassetty-Jackson’s case, the apple didn’t fall far from the tree.

Blessed with many of the skills that have made her mother, Judy Cassetty, successful in the real estate business, Shannon Cassetty-Jackson is also a talented graphic designer whose extensive marketing experience has helped The Cassetty Team stand out in the crowd.

Shannon graduated from Hendersonville’s Beech High School and studied graphic communication and design at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Her real estate career started in 2000, after working as a professional graphic designer and print production manager.  “I learned a lot about marketing by observing what worked and didn’t work during my years as a graphic designer working on marketing campaigns,” said Shannon.

It should come as no surprise that Shannon, now an affiliate real estate broker, is the architect of the Cassetty Team’s innovative approach to marketing.  After an extensive pre-listing consultation on everything from curb appeal to staging strategy, Shannon designs customized marketing plans that blend traditional and new-media techniques to generate demand for a home.  Her ability to stage homes in a way that makes them irresistible to prospective buyers has won her many fans.  It has also won her several awards. She has been recongized in '06, '07, '08 & '09 with various sales awards from RE/MAX. She is a member of Greater Nashville Association of Realtors.

Though Shannon is has extensive expertise on both sides of a real estate transaction, she has a soft spot for buyers.  “I love being a buyer’s rep,” says Shannon, who was blessed with an uncanny ability to spot a home’s potential flaws as well as its potential greatness.  “Many people don’t really know what they want in a home.  They don’t understand all the possibilities and that’s where I come in.”

As a result of Shannon’s gentle yet revealing questioning, buyers get a much better sense of what they want in a home.  “For most buyers, form follows function,” says Shannon.  “It’s all about lifestyle.  How you move through your living space. Once I know basic facts about lifestyle, I can help define their dream home and then help them find a home that suits them perfectly.”

In a booming market like Middle Tennessee, that can mean lots of legwork.  Shannon helps buyers sift through the dozens of options and guides them to the homes that best fit their dream.  Once in the home, her trained eye sees the potential—and the potential pitfalls—in the home.   “I love everything about envisioning what a space can be,” she says.  “I try to see the space through my clients’ eyes, imagine what I would do to each room and share my thoughts with the prospective buyer, then start brainstorming together.  It’s an amazing process and lots of fun.”

Of course, when you’re Shannon Cassetty-Jackson and you’re connected to the area’s best network of contractors and home renovation professionals, anything is possible.  “If I can see it in my mind’s eye, I can also see the face of the contractor who can bring it to life.” she says.  “My clients automatically get plugged into my network of professionals, all of whom are reliable and the best in the business.”

When she’s not serving clients, Shannon enjoys being at home with daughter Kaitlin.  Watching Katie play for Hendersonville High school, Sewing, interior design, gardening and homemaking are also passions.  “I just love everything about creating a beautiful home,” she says.  “Maybe that’s why I got into real estate.  When I walk into the right space with a client and can see the finished room in my mind’s eye, it’s like I get to relive my own home redecoration.  It’s a vicarious pleasure.”
