With 20 years in the real estate business, Judy Cassetty, is one of the area’s most experienced, respected and well-known real estate professionals.
Before launching her real estate career in 1990, Judy worked as a payroll accountant. “After spending 17 years behind a desk crunching numbers, I was ready for a change. I had always loved dealing with people and I wanted the kind of freedom that a real estate career could offer.”
Her daughter’s graduation from high school was the perfect opportunity to make the career switch. In 1990, Judy received her real estate license and began building her business. Since the very beginning, she has been successful in a highly-competitive market. Since 1990, Judy has been involved in nearly 900 transactions. “When you’ve shepherded that many deals to closure, you see all the problems,” says Judy. “That’s where experience counts the most. “I’ve seen deals derail for just about every reason and I know how to keep my clients away from those pitfalls.”
Judy’s extensive experience coupled with her natural head for business give clients tremendous peace of mind. “My dad owned a business in Evansville, Indiana,” says Judy. “I grew up watching him deal with clients. I’ve always been good with numbers and I enjoy negotiating the best deal for my clients. Nothing gets past me!”
Though she has an uncanny ability to spot problems in a contract from 50 feet away, she toggles easily from the cold, hard facts of a real estate deal to the warm fuzzies that go into any homebuying decision. “I think that’s what I love most about real estate,” says Judy. “It gives me the chance to do the things I love best—helping people work the facts of a deal to their advantage, so they can have the home they’ve always wanted. I’ll go to any lengths for a client to help them get what they need.” Her approach is working. Judy has a thriving repeat business and receives dozens of referrals each month from satisfied clients. “I’ve done three and four transactions for some clients over the years,” she says. “I moved one family back and forth between Hendersonville and Gallatin four times!”
Judy’s commitment to serving her clients is surpassed only by her desire to stay on top of the latest innovations in the real estate field. She has completed just about every professional certification program in the field and boasts an alphabet soup of professional credentials. In addition to being a licensed real estate broker, Judy Cassetty is a Certified Residential Specialist (CRI), Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR), Graduate of Realtors Institute (GRI).
Many honors and awards have been heaped upon Judy during her career. She has been a long-standing member of the ReMax 100 Percent Club. The Sumner County Board of Realtors honored with an Award of Excellence and as a Life Member.
When she’s not delighting clients, Judy loves practicing the domestic arts. An accomplished seamstress, Judy enjoys making custom home décor. “Even though it has been awhile since I’ve had time to make anything for my own home, I have a thousand ideas,” said Judy, who recently finished an extensive home renovation with Tom, her husband of 27 years. “We just love living in our home. It’s my mission to help people find homes they love to be in…that they can entertain in…where they can come home and feel like they’re on vacation.”
